Watch Apple 2012 iPhone 5, iPod touch, iPod nano Keynote Video Online Now

If you didn’t manage to catch the coverage of today’s Apple event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, you’ll be pleased to know it’s available to watch right now for your viewing pleasure. Much was expected of Tim Cook’s company, and it certainly delivered the goods by announcing the eagerly-awaited iPhone 5. As the specs were reeled off, it was something of a relief that the final look of the smartphone tied in nicely with the speculation and leaks prior – a completely contrasting story from what we experienced last October. hero_front Having anticipated a significantly-overhauled form factor, we were left with the largely unchanged iPhone 4S, but the larger-screened, uni-body design, 4G LTE device certainly has been true to its billing, and with an improved 8-megapixel camera to boot, don’t be too surprised to witness the usual ensemble of hardcore iPhone fans queuing outside those iconic stores on the release date. Although the iPhone did – as it inevitably does – steal the show, in my personal opinion, it certainly wasn’t the only significant announcement on offer, and the accompanying firmware – iOS 6 – was given a second showcasing after WWDC’12, and the Gold Master candidate (those of you interested can download iOS 6 GM from here) was pushed out to developers. Back then, Apple gave us something of an introduction on its latest and greatest mobile operating system, but after a few months, a lot of development, and several betas later, it looks as though it’s ready to roll with the iPhone 5 which, for those interested, will begin selling on 21st September. promo_lead_touch Elsewhere, the Cupertino also introduced a brand-new iPod touch which, in-line with the rumor mill, features a four-inch screen, dual-core A5 processor and a better camera, rendering it the App Store-loving, Instagrammer’s dream. 3G would have been nice, but despite Apple’s claims, the device is almost certainly going to be phased once the cheaper iPad Mini makes an appearance next month, so if you’re an iPod touch enthusiast, now would be a pretty good time to dive in. It comes in five different colors – breaking the monotony of white and black – and if your budget isn’t as flexible as you’d perhaps wish it was, the new iPod touch looks a sweet deal. iPod nano In addition, the new iPod nano arrived in a slew of vibrant colors, and brings back the days of video playback. With its own home button, it still offers something of a watered-down iOS feel, and like the iPhone and iPod touch, will feature the new, well-documented 9-pin Lightning port. If you wish to watch a repeat of the event in full, then please head over to the link on the official Apple website. It’s quite a long one, but certainly worth watching if you like keeping a close eye on the most important keynote speeches in the tech world. iP5MediaEvent You can follow us on Twitter, add us to your circle on Google+ or like our Facebook page to keep yourself updated on all the latest from Microsoft, Google, Apple and the web.
